Day T-20: Leave for Florence in 20 days.
The resistance kicks in.
Doesn’t it always seem this way. You have a dream, you layout a plan — and the resistance kicks in. I’m planning to leave on June 11 for my trek, The Camino de Assisi. And I feel like I’m getting slammed in ten different directions. Did Pastor Matthew get slammed this way just before he did his 7-7-7. Seven marathons in seven days on seven continents. Makes my Camino look like a walk in the park on a sunny day.
I’m going to ask Pastor Matthew tomorrow: Did the resistance kick in? The resistance! Small “r”. Don’t worry. I know what he’d say: We know the source of the resistance — and he can be defeated.
Trek for a Dream. I’m at a place in my life where I have seen so many great dreams for friends and family (and strangers), come to life. But it seems they all had to have faith, and a Plan. Right now, there’s about 250 of us, in a little prayer team, praying for a dream that God laid on our heart, praying for His Plan to bring it to life, and praying for protection — from the resistance. Where two or more are gathered! Or, 250 or more.
